Locker Hooked Art Cuff with Kimberly Davis   locker hooked bracelet
Saturday, August 23, 2014
9:30 am to 11:30 am

Make a gorgeous locker-hooked art cuff using recycled silk ribbon yarn. Locker hooking is a variation of rug hooking in which you use narrow fabric strips and yarn to fill in the spaces of rug canvas using a tool that looks like a crochet hook/tapestry needle hybrid. Once you learn the basics, there are endless possibilities! You can use leftover yarns, ribbons, recycled fabrics, and old t-shirts to make two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects, including trivets, rugs, coasters, brooches, cuffs, treasure boxes, and more. Give your old sweaters and jackets a new look with this technique. There is no prior experience required to take this class, it is open to all levels, all ages.
