Silk Scarf Painting – A Lesson of Letting Go with Evi SlabyEvi Slaby scarf class photo
Saturday, August 23, 2014
2:30 pm – 4:30 pm

This class truly is a lesson in letting go. In our lives we often times are precise, exact, and rigid, sometimes, unavoidably. This class will give you a basic introduction to painting on silk. It has been used for many people dealing with overcoming emotional issues, recovering from cancer, or just for the sheer beauty of applying paint to silk. If you can draw, write or hold a brush, you can take this class. The scarf size available for this class from the instructor is a long rectangular scarf 14″ x 72″. The scarves will already be prepared and on a stretcher, ready for painting. Evi will take the scarves home with her to rinse, wash and iron them, and mail them back to each student in the self addressed stamped envelope. If you forget to bring a self addressed stamped envelope, Evi will collect an additional $1.50 from you to cover the cost of stamp and envelope. Registration required, class size limited to 15 students.
